Our Team
Jane Ryan
Jane loves all things related to the western horse industry, Jane competes in barrel races and campdrafts, but her true passion and love is breakaway roping.
"I love that it is so fast and precise and requires perfect timing between yourself, the calf and your horse! My roping has taken me all over our beautiful country, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my fair share of success. I have won national hi point titles and had wins at some of the biggest rodeos and ropings including Cloncurry, Mount Isa and The Big Show Breakaway Roping, as well as being a former record holder for the fastest time in Australia. Most recently I was crowned The 2021 APRA Australian Breakaway Roping Champion and it is one of my proudest achievements so far. Along with competing, I love teaching and sharing my knowledge of the sport with others."
Jane conducts clinics and lessons in most states and truly enjoy helping other ropers be as successful as they can in the arena.

Ethan Michaelis
When I was younger I didn’t want to ride horses but my parents made me so I have won some South Australian barrel horse Association Jnr div 2 barrel racing 4 times in a row.
Since learning that I love to rope I won have the Australian team roping association Jnr breakaway roping champion and most recently was awarded the East coast team roping Association Jnr team roping heeling champion and the jnr breakaway and the 7’s heeler at the most recent Mt Pleasant Jack pot series. I just missed the Jnr Finals in 11th place this year in my first year of rodeo so I am hoping to do at least one better this year.
I use mostly Cactus products when I heel. The products the I use on a regular basis are the new medium soft hooey OG at the moment, cactus bell boots, and relentless leg boots. On my current good horse I use a relentless roper pad and on my young horse that I’m currently training to heel I use a cactus saddle pad and relentless sport boots and bell boots. I have had the opportunity to choose the direction I would like to head in my rodeo career I have done nothing but live and breath roping.
Thanks to Ropes and Tack SA helping me to achieve my long term goals in rodeo which are to win the Jnr finals in Australia and the Australian NFR and to travel to America to compete in team roping.
